CDA, ACEPHAP Teams Participate at 4 Africa Centres of Excellence Workshop in Abidjan

Communication teams from Centre for Dry land Agriculture (CDA), Bayero University, Kano and Africa Centre of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP) participated at the 4th Africa Centres of Excellence Workshop on Communicating Impact held at Capitol Hotel, Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire from 26th to 28th April, 2023.

Nura Garba (CDA Communication Officer), Bala Garba Abdullahi (ACEPHAP Communication Officer) and Isah Sani Muhammad, a member of CDA Communication team attended the workshop, which was a comprehensive training on Communication Skills and Strategies for Higher Education Institutions organised by the Association of African Universities (AAU) in collaboration with the World Bank and the French National Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD).

The training covered critical topics in Effective Communications such as Research Communications and Scientific Writing, leveraging social media for Enhanced Visibility, Implementing Communication Strategies, Website content Management and Media Relations.

Many Communication Officers from Africa Centres of Excellence participated in the workshop.
Facilitators of the workshop include World Bank's Development and Communications Specialist, Amani Osman, Africa Centres of Excellence for Development Impact Communication Officer, Millicent Afrikiye, Director ICT of AAU, Nodumo Dhlamini, AAU Web Developer, Frank Asefuah among others.
