ACEPHAP, National Population Commission train supervisors on e-CRVS Birth Registration and Maternal Mortality Surveillance in Kano

ACEPHAP, in collaboration with the National Population Commission (NPC) Kano State Office, conducted a four-day training to equip supervisors with skills in electronic birth registration (e-CRVS), maternal mortality surveillance and KASSEP dashboard data use. The training, implemented under the KASSEP initiative, aimed to strengthen data quality, accessibility and use for evidence-based decision-making in maternal and child health. Participants from key health and data institutions were prepared for a pilot rollout across 10 LGAs, with emphasis on accurate data collection, analysis and practical application to improve health outcomes and policy planning in Kano State.

ACEPHAP holds Stakeholder Meeting on Data Streamlining

Professor Hadiza Shehu Galadanci, the Director of the Africa Center of Excellence for Population Health and Policy (ACEPHAP), chaired a stakeholder meeting yesterday, Tuesday, July 9th 2025, on the necessity for data alignment between the Kano State Surveillance for Evidence and Policy (KASSEP) and other government agencies working on maternal and child data.
